The two business founders are John Davison and Ian Nairn. They worked together in ICL from 1994 to 1998. During this time ICL adopted a leadership role in the UK education sector, working with the Government of the day to prove that extensive use of ICTs in schools would improve motivation of children to learn, make available the very best learning materials to schools irrespective of socio-economic location and improve examination results across the board. It was during this period that the ICL team, led by John Davison, invented the term ' National Grid for Learning ' which is still used by the DfES today.

John Davison has 13 years Board Level experience in ICL responsible for Retail, Internet and Group Marketing divisions. During the last 4 years John has applied his skills and expertise to start-up companies providing innovative services.

David Hesketh has 25 years experience in the IT Industry with ICL, Oracle, Rubus, and Detica. David left ICL in 1998 to Co-found Rubus, an innovative and award winning e-business consultancy and systems integration company. David served as an Executive Board Member for Rubus for 5 years before its acquisition by Detica in 2003.

Ian Nairn has 17 years experience of IT business development and solution delivery. A Visiting ICL Distinguished Engineer Ian has been involved in the design, development and delivery of a range of internet services including BBC, Sega and latterly with a new business start-up - GPM, DevilQuest for Manchester United plc.

David Holden has over 14 years senior Sales and Marketing experience in the Education and Training sector. During the last 4 years David has successfully dealt with a range of clients across the UK Education sector from the DfES to a range of Local Education Authorities and Organisations.

Mike Fagan, FMCA, 18 years experience in High Tech Sector Businesses in a variety of Financial Director and Financial Controller roles. Mike provides a contract Financial Director service to the Taecanet Business.
